Contraindications:

It is important that your esthetician know any medications that you are taking and/or any skin products that you are using. Please also notify your practitioner of any pregnancy and/or infectious diseases such as HSV, HPV that may present lesions on the skin. This can ensure a safe and successful hair removal experience, in the event you are eligible for treatment.

Please remember to refrain from the use of retinols, acids, hair removal (laser, wax, shave), on the areas being treated 3-5 days prior to service date.

If you will be receiving Laser Hair Removal the area must be shaved 24-48Hrs prior (you may leave a small patch to see hair thickness).

Discontinue wax appointments and tweezing on the areas 2-3 weeks before your laser appointment.

Refrain from sun exposure on the areas being treated 2wks before AND after, use sunscreen and hats for face treatments.

Discontinue use of mild acids 5-10 days before/after on the areas.

Schedule hair removal 4wks apart from chemical peels or complete you chemical peel series after you hair removal series.

Laser appointments can only be performed 2 weeks after your LAST dose of antibiotics or a medication series less than 3 months due to photosensitivity.

LISTEN UP!

These medications may cause the skin too thin or to be hypersensitive to waxing/laser. Thin, sensitive skin can lift with wax or burn and hyper/hypo-pigment with laser. If you have taken Accutane within the last year it is not advised to wax/laser for one year after you have stopped taking this medication.

If you are currently using any of the following products, they can cause the skin to be overly sensitive. Please inform me prior to your appointment.
